Music !!!!
I think I've scared a number of people with the range of music I like .. hahahaha .. not to mention the AGE of some of the music I listen to!! I listen to everything from the 50's to the 90's and lots in between :o) My collection of music stretches from 'The Sound of Music' to Van Halen and everything in between ... hahaha I'm an ABBA fan - and I love Grease - but then I can just as easily listen to Mariah Carey or Meatloaf or Soul Asylum or Shania Twain or .. I could go on for hours really - you don't need to be bored by that !!!! I also play guitar (accoustic and bass) and am currently doing a stint as a vocalist (ARRGGHHH run screaming now before you have to listen to it !!! LOL) My love of music has extended to collecting mp3's now :o) I've got about 106 or thereabouts after a couple of months of "filching" LOL... I've also managed to grab some of my own cd's and covert my favourites into mp3's (well I didn't actually, my friend Mage did.. LOL) thanks babe :o) Anyway, I have a gig of space on my hdd that I intend to fill with mp3's so if you'd like something come find me in #music-central on dalnet and grab what you want :o) - OHHH update on this situation with the mp3's - I now have 650 meg of them on a cd, and another 400 meg on the hard drive - and I'm still working on it! I'll never have as many as WinAmp or kaskat(G) though - BUT I'M WORKING ON IT! lol
IRC Chat :o)
This type of internet chat has become a firm favourite of mine in the hobby stakes :o) I've met some wonderful people and made some really good friends :o) IRC is a great place to chat to a wide variety of people about all sorts of subjects... but be warned - it is addictive not to mention a time stealer !!!! (I look at my cross stitch frame and realise I haven't touched it for about 3 weeks !!!)
Petrol Head !!
For a number of years now I've followed touring cars - especially New Zealand and Australia Touring Cars. My hero is Peter Brock (of course!) who is just as lovely in real life as he appears :o) I've spent a lot of time on and around the race tracks in the north island - Pukekohe, Taupo, Mt Maunganui - although that's gone now :o( My favourite I think is still Taupo - that's a very very cool track - lots of little twists and turns and interesting camber slants .. hahahaha. I've raced, pit crewed and spectated - and I'm still not sick of it !!! I devote one weekend a year to me - that weekend funnily enough always coincides with Bathurst.. hahahaha (I wonder why that would be???) although it won't be the same for me anymore now that Brockie has retired :o(

Anyway .... enough about me - I'll shut up now before I bore you to death :o)
I'm a Cross Stitch addict - there is something immensely satisfying about creating a beautiful picture from a piece of paper covered in symbols ..hahaha I'm actually quite proud of the personalised satin cushions I make as gifts for my friends for special occasions such as weddings and anniversaries :o) I've just finished a really cool cross-stitch for a friend for his birthday - it's a Tiger - and man talk about a lot of work !!!! Well worth it though - it looks awesome! (even if I do say so myself) :o) I've made a satin cushion with the Tiger on the front and it's edged with Black lace - he loves it (thank goodness!) :o) It's a lot of work - but ultimately worth it! I'm also heavily into puzzles, games, crosswords - that kind of thing, anything to keep my brain working (although there are people around who would say it never does !!!!! LOL)
